The Slide Into Fascism Continues…

Some late night thoughts…

I miss being able to have friends from the opposite side of the political aisle. It seems most all of them lost all grip on reality when DonOld Yawn Frump showed up with his smoke and mirrors.

He enriches himself as much as he can while the rest of us worry that we won’t be able to feed our families or even keep a roof over our heads—and yet his gullible followers behave as though absolutely nothing is wrong as they go further and further into what can only be considered abject poverty because of drastically rising gas prices, foods costs that have only gone up because it’s become so much more expensive to transport food, clothing, and more from their sources to consumers.

I’ve disowned family and friends for supporting him, and at this point in time, I don’t feel I’ll ever be able to forgive them and reconnect. They support a man who has demonized entire portions of our society, and who is a real and present danger to those same people.

He actively threatens my family and friends for their country of origin, their gender identities, who they love, and more.

It’s as though members of the Republican party suddenly went batshit insane when they were taken in by DJT’s lies and the promises that were never kept, and I find myself wondering if we will ever get our country back, or if it will slide even further into fascism before things ultimately implode, and NATO decides they need to step in and deal with the current insanity, as right now, that burnt orange relative of Jabba the Hutt is drunk with power, and entirely too dangerous for the world to ignore safely.

Anyhow, I’ll step down off my own soapbox for now.
