This morning we received the happy news that Rush Limbaugh had finally succumbed to the cancer that fought against the cancer that Limbaugh already was.
I’ve seen where people say we shouldn’t celebrate the man’s death, but this was a man who publicly celebrated deaths from AIDS, with accompanying celebratory music. A man who didn’t even try to disguise his virulent racism and misogyny.
One person I know posted several damning quotes from him today on Facebook:
“The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”
“Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”
“Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do — let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work.”
“Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream.”
“Columbus saved the Indians from themselve
“He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He’s moving all around and shaking and it’s purely an act… This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn’t take his medication or he’s acting.”
“To some people, bankers — code word for Jewish — and guess who Obama’s assaulting? He’s assaulting bankers. He’s assaulting money people. And a lot of those people on Wall Street are Jewish.”
So I wonder if there’s starting to be some buyer’s remorse there.”
Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh. R.I.P.”
This is the sort of bullshit that pathetic shell of a human being said literally out loud where all the world could hear him. Unapologetically and to the wild acclaim of the fucking idiots who sucked at his tit.
Tonight I toast his death and hope that if there is indeed a Hell that he will experience his own personal Hell for all eternity.
I can’t think of many who I would put in that situation, but he is most surely one of them.
No, Rush, don’t “Rest in Peace”.
Exist in endless agony.
It’s the very least you can do for those you hurt through your words and actions.
